Activate HD Voice - Sonim Basic Phones

Caution Caution:

  • HD Voice isn't recommended if you use a 1X/3G Network Extender or a TTY/TDD device.
  • HD Voice on the smartphone must be turned on if you use a 4G Network Extender.
  • If located in Alaska, it's not recommended to turn off HD Voice for troubleshooting purposes as it causes the device to roam off the Verizon Wireless network.

 

Note Notes:

  • HD Voice calling requires both parties to be in Verizon 4G LTE coverage area, have HD voice capable devices and be provisioned for HD Voice to do simultaneous voice and data.
  • HD Voice is included in existing voice plans and minutes are billed as regular voice calls.
  • Video calling is currently not available for this device.

 

  1. Sign in to My Verizon.
  2. Navigate: Support > Services & Apps page.
  3. From the 'Manage services & apps in My Verizon' section, click View/change my services and apps.
  4. Locate the HD Voice add-on then click Get it now.
  5. Ensure the applicable add-on (i.e., Wi-Fi Calling, HD Voice, etc.) is turned on for your XP5s or XP5.
    Note HD Voice features vary by device.
