  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • For assistance with setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
  2. Tap Screen sharing.
  3. Tap the Screen sharing switch to turn it on Switch on or off Switch off.
    Note Once turned on, your device locates compatible displays.

  1. From a Home screen, tap 'Gallery' or 'Music'.
  2. Navigate to the appropriate item.
  3. Tap the Display icon.
    Note If necessary, tap the Share icon then tap the Display icon.

  4. If needed, tap Play.

Share with a PC Using the SmartShare app

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
  2. Tap File sharing.
  3. Tap the SmartShare Beam switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.

Media Server Settings (DLNA)

Note Configure these settings to share files with a DLNA-enabled device (e.g., TV, game console, etc.). To determine whether your device supports the DLNA standard, see this product database.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
  2. Tap Media server.
  3. Tap Content sharing switch to turn it on Switch on or off Switch off.
  4. To continue, review the Content sharing notice then tap Allow.
  5. Tap Content to share.
  6. Select any of the following then tap OK:
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    • Photos
    • Videos
    • Music
  7. If presented, tap Receive content to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
