Factory Data Reset (Powered On) - Samsung Gear S3 frontier / Gear S3 classic

A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.

Caution Performing a factory data reset removes all data from the device. Only perform a reset if absolutely necessary.

Note An alternate reset method is available if the device can't be powered on and is unresponsive.

  1. From the watch screen, press the Home button to open the apps screen.

  2. Tap Settings Settings icon.
  3. Tap General Management.
  4. Tap Reset Gear.
  5. Tap the Check mark icon Checkmark icon to confirm.
    Note If applicable, set up your device.
