SmartHub with Voice - LAN Settings

View this info to configure advanced LAN settings (e.g., IP address, Subnet mask, DHCP address range, etc.) for your SmartHub.

Caution Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance and security of the SmartHub. Contact your local IT administrator prior to altering any of these settings.

  1. Sign in to the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the Smarthub Home screen, click System Settings.
  3. From the System settings screen, click LAN, WAN & Firewall LAN and Firewall icon.

  4. From LAN, WAN & Firewall, click the External modem/router radio dial to select and configure an alternate internet source.
    Note Contact the Internet Service Provider (ISP) or the router manufacture's customer service for help in configuring the Smarthub for External modem/router settings.
  5. From General, enter the desired info into the following fields:
    • Router IP Address
    • LAN Subnet Mask
    • DNS Server
      • Automatic
      • Manual
  6. From DHCP, click the DHCP switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  7. From VPN Passthrough, click the Passthrough switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
    Note VPN Passthrough is on by default.
  8. Enter the appropriate info into the following fields:
    • DHCP Start Address
    • DHCP End Address
    • Lease Time
  9. From Firewall Configuration select the appropriate option (i.e., Low, Medium, High).

  10. Click Save LAN Settings to update your preferences.
