Set Up Device - Global Modem USB730L

Note Ensure the following system requirements are met and the computer isn't connected to an alternate Internet connection (e.g. LAN, Wi-Fi):

  • Operating Systems:

  • Browsers:
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or higher
    • Mozilla Firefox 3.6 or higher
    • Google Chrome 9 or higher
    • Apple Safari 5 or higher
    • Opera 9 or higher

  1. If needed, insert the SIM card.
    Note If a SIM card is preinstalled, skip to step 2.
  2. Connect the USB modem to the computer.
    Note No additional software is required to connect.
  3. Once the LED Status Indicator starts blinking green, launch a web browser.
    Note It can take up to 2 minutes to connect. If you get a message that the device is not responding, allow time for the device to complete the connection.
  4. If needed, navigate to: http://my.usb (IP address 192.168.1.1) and view the Network Status info (located at the top).
    Note Only the customer with the installed modem and an active connection (as indicated by the status indicators) can access the web portal.
