A soft reset (turning the device off then back on) is similar to restarting a desktop computer and is one of the first steps in troubleshooting a device.
In most cases, a soft reset won't affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.
Launch the Arlo app on your smartphone or navigate and log in to the admin site via a browser.

The Arlo app is available via the Google Play and Apple App stores.
From the top menu, tap or click Settings (upper-right, to the right of Mode).
Tap or click the appropriate camera.
Multiple cameras may appear.
Tap or click Restart.
May require scrolling to the bottom.
To confirm, tap Restart.
Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
