SmartHub with Voice - Verizon Home App - Initial Activation and Setup

If you want to activate and set up your Verizon Home app, view this info.

If you are upgrading your existing SmartHub, follow these steps to activate before proceeding with the instructions below.

Note Notes:

  • The Smarthub owner account number cannot be changed.
  • Adding a user as administrator grants full access rights like the owner account.
  • The SmartHub owner account must be setup in range of SmartHubWi-FI.
  • The Guest user invitation code expires after 24 hours.

  1. Tap Verizon Home SmartHub app icon then tap Get Started with Smart Hub.
    Note To sign into an existing account, refer to Returning User.

  2. From Connect to your SmartHub, select I'm the SmartHub Owner then tap Continue.

  3. From Connect to your SmartHub, enter your Wi-Fi password then tap Continue.
    Note Wi-Fi name and password can be obtained via the SmartHub's external display.

  4. From Connect to your SmartHub, select your SmartHub Wi-Fi network.

  5. From We found your SmartHub, tap Sign in with your My Verizon account.

  6. From Sign in with your My Verizon account, enter your phone number then tap Continue.
    Note The number used must be registered with My Verizon.
    Note If prompted, send and enter your activation code then tap Next.
    Note Activation code can be sent via SMS or email.
    Note The email must be on the account for at least 30 days to receive an activation code.

  1. Tap Verizon Home SmartHub app icon then tap Get Started with Smart Hub.
    Note To sign into an existing account, refer to Returning User.

  2. From Connect to your SmartHub, select I'm a Guest User then tap Continue.

  3. From Connect to your SmartHub, enter your code then tap Continue.
    Note To send an invitation code which expires after 24 hours, refer to Add a User.

  4. From Choose Security Questions, select the approrpriate questions, enter the corresponding answers then tap Create Account.

  5. From Create a Verizon Home account, enter the appropriate info then tap Next.
