A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, tap the Arrow icon to display all apps.
Navigate: Settings > Network & Internet >VPN .
Tap the Plus icon+ (upper-right).
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
Refer to Set Up Screen Lock (Pattern, PIN or Password only) for assistance.
From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server info and credentials.
From the Type field, PPP encryption (MPPE) is checked by default. If another encryption type is preferred, tap the Dropdown menu (right) then select the VPN type:
IPSec Xauth PSK
IPSec Xauth RSA
IPSec Hybrid RSA
IPSec IKEv2 PSK
IPSec IKEv2 RSA
Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap SAVE (lower-right).

If PPP encryption (MPPE) is the preferred connection, scroll down and tap Username and Password.
