Pattern

Note An unlock pattern is created to access the device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Arrow icon Arrow icon to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Security & Location Security &  Location settings icon > Screen lock.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  3. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap Continue.
  4. Draw the same pattern again then tap Confirm.
  5. If presented, select an option then tap Done (lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

PIN

Note A PIN number is created to access the device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Arrow icon Arrow icon to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Security & Location Security &  Location settings icon > Screen lock.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  3. If presented with the "PIN policy" screen, tap OK.
  4. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap Continue.
  5. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.
  6. If presented, select an option then tap Done (lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

Note A password is created to access the device.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Arrow icon Arrow icon to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Security & Location Security &  Location settings icon > Screen lock.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  3. If presented with the "Password policy" screen, tap OK.
  4. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap Continue.
  5. Re-enter the password then tap OK.
  6. If presented, select an option then tap Done (lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
