  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • For assistance with setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. Touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.

  2. Tap Smart View Smart View.
    Note May require swiping left to display additional icons.
  3. Select the appropriate display from the list of available devices.

Share Pictures, Videos or Music

  1. From a Home screen tap Apps Apps icon.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Gallery, Music, or Video.
  3. Select desired media and tap Share
  4. Tap View content on TV (Smart View) (located at the bottom).
    Note If Nearby devices is not displaying, tap MORE > Scan for nearby devices.
  5. Tap the appropriate device.
  6. To view the picture, song or video, tap the item.

Media Server Settings (DLNA)

Note Configure these settings to share files with a DLNA-enabled device (e.g., TV, game console, etc.). To determine whether your device supports the DLNA standard, see this product database.

  1. From a Home screen tap Apps Apps icon.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More.
  4. From the Media share section, tap Nearby device scanning.
  5. Tap the Nearby devices switch (located in the upper-right) to enable On indicator or off Off indicator.
    Note If presented with Nearby devices screen requesting access to device, tap OK to allow access.
  6. From the Advanced section, tap Content to share.
  7. Select any of the following to enable or disable then tap OK.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music
  8. From the Advanced section, tap Allowed devices.
  9. If appropriate, tap any of device(s) listed then tap Delete to remove the device from the Allowed devices list; otherwise, tap Cancel.
    Note When deleting a device: from the "Nearby devices" prompt tap OK to restart.
  10. From the Advanced section, tap Blocked devices.
  11. If appropriate, tap any of device(s) listed then tap Delete to remove the device from the Not-allowed devices list; otherwise, tap Cancel.
    Note When deleting a device, file sharing must be restarted (turn off Off indicator "Nearby devices" then turn back on On indicator) to add the device to the Allowed device list.
  12. From the Advanced section, tap Receive files from other devices then select one of the following:
    • Always accept
    • Always ask
    • Always reject
