If you're calling into an automated dial-in system (e.g., Voicemail) and your dialpad entries aren't being recognized, view this info.

Note Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are used by automated dial-in systems such as voicemail or where prompts are used to navigate.

  1. From a home screen, tap Phone Phone icon (in the lower-left).
    Note If not available, tap the Arrow icon Arrow icon to display all apps then tap Phone Phone icon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Action overflow icon (in the top-right).
    Note If on the Dial pad screen, tap the Back icon Back icon once (in the lower-left).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Sounds and vibration.
  5. Tap Keypad tones to turn on On icon or off Switch off.
  6. Tap Keypad tone length then tap one of the following:
    • Normal
    • Long
