Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.

Tap USB charging this device.
Select Transfer files.
Selected when a green dot is present.
Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( +E) keys.
Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
Using File or Windows Explorer, navigate: Moto Z (2) > Internal shared storage > Music.
Moto Z (2) is listed under the Portable Devices section.
If the music files are stored on the memory card, navigate: Moto Z (2) > SD card then choose the location of the files.
Utilize the computer to copy music files from the music folder to the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
