Google Pixel 2 - Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Network & internet Network and Internet icon > Wi-Fi Wi-Fi icon.
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (upper-right) is turned on On icon.
  4. Tap Add network Add icon.
  5. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate network name.
  6. From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menuDropdown menu icon.
  7. Tap the applicable security option:
    Note If using an Open network (None), skip to step 10.
    • None
    • Enhanced Open
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2-Personal
    • WPA3-Personal
    • WPA/WPA2-Enterprise
    • WPA3-Enterprise 192-bit
  8. If prompted, enter a User name in the Identity field.
  9. Enter the password into the Password field.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap Show password (enabled when a checkmark is present).
  10. Tap Advanced options Down arrow icon then ensure all additional settings (e.g. Proxy, IP Settings, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
