Google Pixel 2 - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

Note Notes:

  • The Do Not Disturb feature allows sound/vibration notifications (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are considered priority notifications.

Set Priorities

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings app icon > Sound Sound icon.
  3. Tap Do not disturb.
  4. Tap any of the following switches to turn on On icon or off Off icon:
    • Alarms
    • Media
    • Touch sounds
  5. Tap either of the following then select an option (e.g., From anyone, From contacts only, etc):
    • Messages
    • Calls
  6. Tap the Back icon Back icon (top-left) then tap Turn on automatically, tap any of the following then configure as desired (e.g., Rule name, Start time, etc.):
    • Sleeping
    • Event
    • Driving
    • Add more


Change Do Not Disturb Setting

  1. Swipe down twice from the top of a Home screen.
  2. Tap the current Do not disturb setting (Total silence, Alarms only, Priority only).

  3. Tap the preferred setting.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • Until you turn off Do Not Disturb
    • For one hour
      Note Increase or decrease this time frame using the Add icon or Subtract icon icons (to the right).
  5. Tap Done (lower-right).
    Note For additional options, tap MORE SETTINGS.
