Change Device Password - ZTE Blade™ Vantage

Note If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > Security.
  2. Tap Screen lock.
    Note If presented with "This device does not have a Google account associated with it...", tap Add Google account now to set up the account before proceeding. To proceed without setting up a Google account, tap Continue.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  3. Tap one of the following:
    • None
      Note If presented with "Remove device protection?" tap Yes, Remove.
    • Swipe
      Note If presented with "Remove device protection?" tap Yes, Remove.
    • Pattern
    • PIN
    • Password

 

Pattern

Note An unlock pattern is created to access the device.

  1. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap Continue.
  2. Draw the same pattern again then tap Confirm.
  3. If presented, select an option then tap Done (located in the lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

PIN

Note A PIN number is created to access the device.

  1. If presented with the "PIN policy" screen, tap OK.
  2. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap Continue.
  3. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.
  4. If presented, select an option then tap Done (located in the lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all

Password

Note A password is created to access the device.

  1. If presented with the "Password policy" screen, tap OK.
  2. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap Continue.
  3. Re-enter the password then tap OK.
  4. If presented, select an option then tap Done (located in the lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
