ZTE Blade™ Vantage - Soft Reset

A soft reset can resolve issues like continuous resetting/rebooting, device crashing, freezing, won't ring or vibrate, can't make or receive calls, device locks up, and keypad doesn't respond.

Note Notes:

  • A soft reset (turning the device off then back on) is similar to restarting a computer and is one of the first steps in device troubleshooting. In most cases, a soft reset doesn't affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.
  • There are 2 methods for soft resetting: the preferred method is used if the screen is functioning properly and the alternate method is used if the screen is frozen or unresponsive.
  • If the device is unresponsive and you are unable to perform a reset using the Power button, remove then re-insert the battery.

Preferred Method

  1. Press and hold the Power button until the "Power off" option appears then release.

  2. Tap Power off.
  3. Once the device is powered off, press and hold the Power button until the ZTE logo appears then release.


Alternate Method

Press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge; first button from the bottom) until the device powers off (approximately 12 seconds) then release.
Note Allow several seconds for the reboot process to complete.
