Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).
From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
Tap the Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Account.
Tap Account Settings.
Tap the Controls tab (upper-right).
Tap Transfer your account service.
If prompted, follow the onscreen options to pay your bill as it must be paid in full before transferring your service.
From the 'Transfer line ownership in a few easy steps' screen, tap Get started (at the bottom).
From the 'Pick a Line to Transfer' screen, select the line to be transferred.
To continue, from the 'Customer Agreement' screen, review and accept the terms then click Continue (at the bottom).
From the 'Pick a New Line Owner' screen, select one of the following:
A small business
From the 'New Account Information' screen, enter the applicable info into the following fields then tap Continue:
Required when transferring line of service to a business.
From the 'Review Transfer Request' screen, make sure everything is correct then tap Submit (at the bottom).
Tap Edit to make any necessary changes.
Tap Got it (at the bottom) to complete the transfer.
An email with instructions on how to approve and complete the transfer is sent to you and the person assuming liability for your wireless number.
