My Verizon app - Add a Mobile Hotspot Data Boost

Note Notes:

  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).


  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Data Hub.
  3. If necessary, tap the Overview tab (upper-left).
  4. Tap Add a Data Boost.

  5. From the 'Hotspot Data Boost' screen, tap Purchase data boost.
    Note Adds 5 GB of 4G LTE data to your hotspot allowance for $35.
    Note A maximum of 20 Data Boost purchases allowed per billing cycle.
    Note Charges for Data Boost purchases appear on your next bill.

  6. Tap Select beneath the mobile number you wish to add a data boost to.

  7. When prompted with 'Confirm your purchase', tap Confirm to complete the transaction.
    Note The details of your most recent Data Boost purchase includes how many gigabytes purchased for the current billing cycle and appears at the bottom of the Data Hub Overview screen.
