Turn Share Media On / Off (DLNA) - Samsung Galaxy Tab® S2

Note Notes:

  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established.
  • To play or copy media to or from other devices (e.g. computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the equipment manufacturer for assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless and networks section, tap More settings.
  3. Tap Nearby devices.
  4. Tap File sharing. If presented with any prompts, tap OK.
  5. From the Advanced section, tap Shared contents to enable/disable then tap OK:
    • Videos
    • Photos
    • Music
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap Allowed devices.
    Note If devices are within range, they can be added to the allowed devices list.
  7. Tap Not-Allowed devices.
    Note If devices are within range, they can be added to the blocked devices list.
  8. Tap Download to then select one of the following:
    • Device
    • SD card
  9. Tap Upload from other device then select one of the following:
    • Always accept
    • Always ask
    • Always reject
  10. If presented with a Nearby devices file sharing warning screen, tap OK.
