Enable / Disable Network Connections - Windows®

Note If your Windows operating system is unknown, refer to Determining Software Version - Windows.

  1. Launch Network Connections.
    • Windows 10
      • Right-click Start then click Network Connections.
    • Windows 8
      • Right-click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
    • Windows 7
      • Click Start > (Settings) > Control Panel > (Network and Internet) > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings (located in the left navigation pane).
    • Windows Vista
      • Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > View Network Status and Tasks > Manage Network Connections.
        Note If prompted, click Continue.
    • Windows XP
      • Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (Network and Internet Connections) > Network Connections.
  2. Locate the appropriate connection, right-click then select Disable/Enable.
