Restrict Data Usage by App - HTC One®


 CautionSome apps depend upon background data (transferring data when not directly in use). Restricting background data may cause those apps to stop functioning unless a Wi-Fi connection is available. 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Apps dropdown menu Apps dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  2. From the Wireless & Networks section, tap Data Usage
  3. Tap an app (located below the usage graph).
  4. Tap Restrict background data.
    Note Enabled when a check mark Checkbox icon is present.
  5. If presented, review the message then tap OK.
