Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ - Adjust Display Settings

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Display.
  3. Tap the switch for any of the following to turn on Switch on or off Switch off:
    Note If necessary, tap each option to configure additional settings.
    • Blue light filter
    • Night mode
    • Accidental touch protection
    • Screen saver
  4. Tap Screen mode then select an option (e.g., Adaptive display, Basic, etc.).
  5. Tap Screen resolution, select an option then tap APPLY (upper-right):
    • HD+ 1480x720
    • FHD+ 2220x1080
    • WQHD 2960x1440
  6. Tap Edge screen then configure any of the following:
    • Edge panels - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Edge lighting - tap the switch to turn on or off.
  7. Tap the Back icon (upper-left) to return to the Display screen.
  8. Tap Navigation bar then configure any of the following:
    • Hard press Home button - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Unlock with Home button - tap the switch to turn on or off.
    • Navigation type - select buttons or gestures.
    • Button order
  9. Tap the Back icon to return to the Display screen.
  10. Tap Screen timeout then select an option (e.g., 15 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc.).
