Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ - Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

Note Notes:

  • The Interruptions feature allows sound / vibration (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are always considered priority interruptions.


  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Sounds and vibration.
  3. From the 'Looking for something else' section tap Do not disturb.
  4. Tap the Turn on now switch to turn on Switch on or off Switch off.
  5. Tap Turn on as scheduled to turn on or off.
    • If on, perform the following:
      1. Select the preferred day(s).
      2. Tap Set Schedule.
      3. Tap Start time and adjust the start time then tap Done.
      4. Tap End time and adjust the end time then tap Done.
      5. Tap the left arrow icon left arrow arrow (upper-left) to return to the previous screen.
  6. Tap Allow exceptions.
  7. Select one of the following:
    • Alarms
    • Media
    • Touch sounds
  8. Tap the left arrow icon to return to the previous screen.
  9. Tap Hide visual notifications then the preferred notification setting to turn on or off.
