Move Music Files to Device - Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+

caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap ALLOW.
    2. Touch and hold the Status bar (at the top) then drag to the bottom.

    3. From the Android system iconAndroid System section, ensure File Transfer is selected.
      Note If necessary, select the current option (e.g., USB Charging, Photo Transfer, etc.) then tap File Transfer.
  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
  3. Using File or Windows Explorer, navigate: Galaxy S9 > Phone > Music.
    note Galaxy S9 is listed under the Portable Devices section.
  4. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the folder.
    note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files.
  5. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
