Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
The My Verizon app is only available for Android® devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit verizonwireless.com to sign in and manage your account.
Available settings vary based on user type (e.g., Account Owner, Account Manager, Account Member).
From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
Tap the Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Devices.
Tap Manage (below the applicable mobile number).
From the 'Manage' tab, tap Change Mobile number.
May require scrolling down.
From the 'What's your ZIP code?' screen, enter the applicable 5-digit code associated with your new mobile number then tap Next (at the bottom).
Tap the 'Phone number' dropdown icon to choose the first 6 digits of your new number then tap Next.
Tap the 'New phone number' dropdown icon to choose the last 4 digits of your new number then tap Next.
From the 'When should we switch it?' screen, select a date then tap Next.
From the 'Make sure everything looks good' screen, review the info then tap Next.
From the 'Which device should we send the code to' screen, select the number the authorization code is sent to, then tap Send code.
Code is sent as a text message to the receiving device.
Once the authorization code is received, enter it then tap Next.
Tap Next to complete the number change then wait for confirmation email.
A confirmation email is sent to the address provided with additional instructions to complete the mobile number change.
