Soft Reset - LG ZONE® 4

A soft reset can resolve issues like continuous resetting/rebooting, device crashing, freezing, won't ring or vibrate, can't make or receive calls, device locks up, and keypad doesn't respond.

Note A soft reset (turning the device off then back on):

  • Is similar to restarting a desktop computer and is one of the first steps in troubleshooting a device and doesn't affect device content.
  • If the device won't power on, plug into the provided wall charger then press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons for a full 10 seconds.
  • If the device is unresponsive and you are unable to perform a soft reset, remove then re-insert the battery.

  1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the back) until the Phone options screen appears then release.
    Note If the device is unresponsive, press and hold the Power button until the device powers off (approximately 10 seconds) then release.
  2. Tap Power off and restart.
  3. Tap OK to confirm.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
    Note If unable to perform a soft reset, remove then re-insert the battery.

Preferred Method

  1. Press and hold the Power button (located on the back) until the Phone options screen appears then release.
  2. Tap Restart.
  3. From the "Restart phone?" prompt, tap RESTART.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.

Alternate Method

Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down button (located on the left edge) and the Power button (located on the back) until the device powers off (approximately 10 seconds) then release.
Note Allow several seconds for the reboot process to complete.
