Prior to completing a factory data reset, view this info to ensure apps and settings are backed up.
When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system or app issue, ensure Automatic Restore is disabled prior to a performing a factory data reset.
From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Backup & reset. Swipe left or right to access apps; steps apply to the default Home mode.
Tap Back up my data.
Ensure the Back up my data switch (at the top) is turned on .
Tap the Back icon (upper-left).
Tap Automatic restore to turn on or off . Ensure the Backup account email address is correct.
