Locate a Family Member - Verizon Smart Family™ App - Android®

Note To perform the steps below, you need to:

  • have a Premium subscription.
  • ensure the parent and child devices are paired.
  • ensure location sharing is on.
  • ensure GPS is enabled on the device to be located.
    Note If necessary, refer to the device's user manual for instructions.

  1. From the Smart Family parent or companion app, select the appropriate family member from the top row of contacts (multiple may appear).
    Note Device location begins automatically then displays on the map with an area halo demonstrating the general location of the family member.

  2. For additional info, tap the map.
    Note This step only applies when using the parent app. If using the companion app, skip to the next step.

  3. View the current location.
    Note If available, tap the Refresh icon Refresh icon in the lower-right to update.

  4. If available, view location history below the map.
    Note Tap an individual result to view more details.
