Note If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Security & Location Secirity and location icon.
  3. From the Device security section, tap Screen lock.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Select one of the following:

None

If prompted, review the notification regarding device protection then tap YES, REMOVE to confirm.

Swipe

Note A lock screen requiring a left or right swipe is created to access the device.

If prompted, review the notification regarding device protection then tap YES, REMOVE to confirm.

Pattern

Note An unlock pattern is created to access the device.

  1. Select one of the following options to help protect data on lost or stolen devices.
    • Yes, to require PIN to start device
    • No
  2. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap CONTINUE.
  3. Draw the same pattern again then tap CONFIRM.

PIN

Note A PIN is created to access the device.

  1. If presented with the PIN policy screen, tap OK.
  2. Select one of the following options to help protect data on lost or stolen devices.
    • Yes, to require PIN to start device
    • No
  3. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap CONTINUE.
  4. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.

Password

Note A password is created to access the device.

  1. If presented with the Password policy screen, tap OK.
  2. Select one of the following options to help protect data on lost or stolen devices.
    • Require password to start device
    • No thanks
  3. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap CONTINUE.
  4. Re-enter the password then tap OK.
  5. If presented, select an option then tap DONE (located in the lower-right).
    • Show all notification content
    • Hide sensitive notification content
    • Don't show notifications at all
