moto g6 - Auto Switch Between Wi-Fi & Mobile Data Networks

To automatically switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve a consistent data connection, view this info.

Note Notes:

  • When enabled, this advanced setting allows the device to switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve consistent data throughput.
  • This function is not enabled by default; the device prompts the user to enable the feature the first time they experience poor Wi-Fi connectivity weak wifi icon.

Warning When connected to the Verizon Wireless cellular network, data overage charges may apply (depending upon data plan). For data usage info, refer to the My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Arrow up icon Arrow up icon to display all apps.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi preferences (bottom).
  4. Tap Advanced.
  5. Tap the Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections switch to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
