moto g6 - Move Music Files from Device

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC.

Caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (area at the top of the tablet screen with the time, signal strength, etc.) then drag to the bottom.
      Note The image below is an example.

    2. Tap the Android System icon USB icon the select Transfer files.

  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E (windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open File Explorer or Windows Explorer
  3. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate: moto g(6) > Internal Storage > Music.
    Note moto g(6) is listed under the Devices and drives section.
    Note If the music files are stored on the memory card, navigate: moto g(6)> SD card then choose the location of the files.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy music files from the music folder to the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
  5. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
