Note Notes:

  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • A Miracast-enabled HDTV or a Wireless Display adapter may be required to view your smartphone's screen via an external display. A Wireless Display adapter can be purchased from any Verizon Wireless retail store or at the online store.
  • For assistance setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube, Netflix, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

 

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
    Note These instructions apply to Home mode only.
  2. Tap Screen sharing.
  3. Tap the Screen sharing switch to it turn on Switch On Icon or off Switch Off Icon.
    Note Once turned on, select a device from the list of compatible displays.

Share Pictures, Videos or Music

  1. From a Home screen, tap 'Gallery' or 'Music'.
    Note These instructions apply to Home mode only.
  2. Navigate to the appropriate item and tap to select.
  3. Tap Share (at the bottom).
  4. Select a device from the list of compatible displays.
    Note If necessary, tap SmartShare then select the preferred display.

Share with a PC Using the SmartShare App

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
    Note These instructions apply to Home mode only.
  2. Tap File sharing.
  3. Tap the SmartShare Beam switch to turn on Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon.

Media Server Settings (DLNA)

Note Configure these settings to share files with a DLNA-enabled device (e.g., TV, game console, etc.). To determine whether your device supports the DLNA standard, see this product database.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connected devices.
    Note These instructions apply to Home mode only.
  2. Tap Media server.
  3. Tap the Content sharing switch to turn on Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon.
    Note When turned on. tap Connect.
  4. Tap Content to share.
  5. Select any of the following to enable then tap OK:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Photos
    • Videos
    • Music
  6. If presented, tap Receive content to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
