Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Manage Data Usage

Note Notes:

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Connections > Data usage.
  3. Tap Mobile data usage.
  4. Tap the Settings icon Settings icon then do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap Start billing cycle on.
      2. Set the date to match the first day of your billing cycle then tap Set.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant on a data connection (e.g., browser, email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or the Mobile data limit must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
      1. Tap the Limit mobile data usage switch to turn on Switch on.
        Note If prompted, review the notification then tap OK.
      2. Tap Data limit and enter the desired limit (e.g., 5GB) then tap Set.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the grey warning line.
      1. Tap Set data warning to turn on.
      2. Tap Data warning and enter the desired warning threshold then tap Set.
