Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Email Account Sync Frequency Settings

To adjust the sync frequency settings for your personal email, view this info.

Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Tap Email Email icon.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left).
  4. Tap the Settings icon Settings icon.
  5. Tap the appropriate email address.
    Note Multiple accounts may appear.
  6. Tap Sync account to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon.
  7. Tap Email sync schedule.
  8. Tap Set sync schedule then select a schedule (e.g., Auto, Every hour, etc.).
  9. Tap Sync schedule while roaming then select one of the following:
    • Manually
    • Using regular schedule
  10. Tap the Peak schedule switch to turn on or off.
  11. With Peak schedule enabled, edit any of the following:
    • Tap Sync emails during peak period then select a schedule (Auto, Every hour, etc.).
    • From the Peak days section, tap the desired days.
      Note Selected when day of the week is orange.
    • From the Peak time section, tap to enter for the following then tap Set:
      • Start time
      • End time
  12. Tap the Back icon Back icon (upper-left).
  13. From the Sync settings section, edit any of the following:
    Note To edit, tap the option then select the desired setting.
    • Email sync period (1 day, 1 week, etc.).
    • Limit retrieval size (2 KB, 5 KB, No limit, etc.).
    • Limit retrieval size while roaming (2 KB, 5 KB, No limit, etc.).
    • Message format (HTML or Plain text)
