Samsung Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) - Reset App

If your device crashes, resets itself or freezes, it may be caused by apps and this info may help.

Note Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized app settings can be backed up to Google's servers.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Apps.
  3. Locate then tap the app name (e.g., Cloud, etc.).
  4. Tap Force stop.
  5. To confirm, tap Force stop.
  6. Tap Storage.
  7. Tap Clear data.
    Note This option may not be available for some apps.
    Note Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (i.e., calendar events may be lost).
  8. To confirm, tap OK.
