Verizon 5G Home - How to Test Internet Speed on My Verizon App

Note Notes:

  • At times, Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband may fall back to 4G LTE speeds.
  • Ensure your app is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
  • The My Verizon app is only available for Android™ devices running 4.0 or higher and Apple® iOS devices running 10.0 or higher. For all other devices, visit to sign in and manage your account.
  • Available settings vary based on user type (Account Owner, Manager, Member).


  1. From the Home screen tap the My Verizon app or navigate: Apps > My Verizon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-left) then tap Devices.
  3. Tap Manage (below 5G Home).

  4. From the '5G Home' screen, tap the Smart devices tab then tap Performance tests.
    Note Viewing all devices may require scrolling down.

  5. From the 'Performance Tests' screen, tap Run speed test.
    Note You must be connected to your 5G Home Wi-Fi network to run a speed test.

  6. Tap Start.
    Note 5G Ultra Wideband speeds range from 300 Mbps up to 940 Mbps.

  7. View the results then, if needed, you can Retest.
    Note Tap the History tab to view prior speed test results.
