Check from Your Phone via the Visual Voicemail App

Notes Visual Voicemail may not be accessible if using Power Saving Mode.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Tap the Voicemail icon Voicemail icon.
  3. From the Visual Voicemail inbox, tap a message.
    Note If needed, tap the Menu icon Menu icon then tap Refresh.
    Note If Voice Mail doesn't automatically start, tap the Play icon Play icon.
    Note If using Premium Visual Voicemail, view the text of the voicemail (at the top).
  4. To enable or disable the speakerphone, tap the Speaker icon (lower-left).
    Note Enabled when the Speakerphone icon Speakerphone icon is present.
    Note Disabled when the Speaker icon Speaker icon is present.

Check from Your Phone (If No Data or Wi-Fi Connection is Available)

  1. From a Home screen, tap Phone Phone icon (lower-left).
    Note If not available, swipe up or down from the center of the display then tap Phone Phone icon.
  2. Touch and hold the number 1.
    Note If necessary, tap the Dialpad icon Dialpad icon (lower-right).
    Note Alternatively, enter *86 (*VM) then tap the Phone icon Phone icon (at the bottom).
  3. If prompted, enter the Voicemail password then press the # key.

Check from a Different Phone or when Outside the Verizon Wireless Coverage Area

  1. Call your 10-digit mobile number.
    Note If dialing from an international location, refer to Place an International Call for additional assistance.
    • As soon as the Voicemail greeting starts, press the # key then enter the Voicemail password.
      Note If prompted, re-enter the mobile number.
