  • To share media files, an active Wi-Fi connection must be established. Refer to the following for assistance:
  • To play or copy media to / from other devices (e.g., computer, TV, etc.), they must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and may need to be configured for sharing. Refer to the user manual or contact the equipment manufacturer for assistance.
  • For assistance with setting up a Google® Chromecast™ device, refer to this page.
  • Some apps (e.g., YouTube™, Netflix®, etc.) support displaying the app contents on a remote display. Within the app, tap the Cast icon Cast icon then select the desired display from the list.

 

Here are a few ways to share your screen with a TV. A compatible TV or additional accessories may be required. Check with your TV manufacturer for additional support.

Share Your Screen

Note Follow these steps to view your entire screen contents on your TV.

  1. Swipe down on the Status bar (at the top).
    Note The image below is an example.

  2. Swipe down from the top of the display to expand the quick settings menu.
  3. Tap Smart View.
    Note If not available, swipe left to view additional quick settings.

  4. Select a nearby device from the list.
    Note If not available, ensure your TV/external display supports screen sharing and is turned on.

Share Pictures, Videos or Music

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Tap Gallery Gallery icon.
  3. If necessary, choose the appropriate album or navigate to the image/video location.
  4. Tap a picture or video to view.
  5. Tap the Share icon Share icon (lower-right).
    Note If necessary, tap the screen to display the options.
  6. Tap Share to device (at the bottom).
  7. Select the desired external display from the list.
