Samsung Galaxy Watch - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.

Caution Performing a factory data reset removes all data from the device. Only perform a reset if absolutely necessary.

Note Notes:

  • Currently, the Galaxy Watch doesn't work with any Apple® iPhone®.
  • An alternate reset method is available if the device can't be powered on and is unresponsive.


  1. From the watch screen, press the Home button to open the apps screen.

  2. Tap Settings Settings icon.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Tap Reset.
  5. Tap Next to confirm.
    Note If applicable, set up your device.
