Smart Lock automatically unlocks the device when trusted locations (work, home) or other devices (Bluetooth® headset, NFC tag) have been detected.
A secure lock type (PIN, pattern, etc.) must be set up for Smart Lock to be available. Turning off the secure lock also turns off Smart Lock.
From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
Navigate: Settings > Lock screen.
From the right pane, tap Smart Lock.
If prompted, review the info then tap Got it (lower-right).
Enter the current unlock method (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.).
Select any of the following options then follow the on-screen instructions to set up a trusted unlock:

On-body detection: Keeps your device unlocked while it's on you.
Trusted places: Set locations (home, work, etc.) to keep your device unlocked whenever you're there.
Trusted devices: Set Bluetooth or NFC devices to keep your device unlocked when that device is connected.
Voice Match: Keeps your device unlocked using voice recognition.
