If using Microsoft® Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options may be unavailable.

These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

A pattern, PIN or password must be set up to turn on factory reset protection.
Changing screen lock to 'None' or 'Swipe' turns off this feature.
Pattern
An unlock pattern is created to access the device.
-
From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

Navigate: Settings
> Lock screen
(left pane).

From the right pane, tap Screen lock type.
If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.

Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap CONTINUE.

Draw the same pattern again then tap CONFIRM.

If presented, select an option then tap DONE:

PIN
A PIN is created to access the device.

From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

Navigate: Settings
> Lock screen
(left pane).

From the right pane, tap Screen lock type.
If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.

Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap CONTINUE.

Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.

If presented, select an option then tap DONE:

Password
A password is created to access the device.

From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.

Navigate: Settings
> Lock screen
(left pane).

From the right pane, tap Screen lock type.
If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.

Enter a password (4 to 16 characters, including at least one letter) then tap CONTINUE.

Re-enter the password then tap OK.

If presented, select an option then tap DONE:
