Verizon Smart Family™ - Website - Add or Remove Scheduled Time Alerts

Note Notes:

  • Scheduled alerts locate your child at a specific time on the days you choose.
  • Alerts work even if the companion app isn't installed on your child's device and location sharing is off.
    Note Phone network location is then used to determine location, which is less accurate than using the companion app.
  • To perform the steps below and to get the most accurate location results, you need to:
    • use a desktop or laptop computer with an up to date web browser (e.g., Chrome™, Edge, Safari®, etc.).
    • sign in using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
    • have a Premium subscription.
    • ensure the parent and child devices are paired (Apple® iOS or Android®).
    • ensure location sharing is on (Apple iOS or Android).
    • ensure GPS is enabled on the device to be located.
      Note If necessary, refer to the device's user manual for instructions.

Add Scheduled Alerts

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
    Line note If using a smartphone or tablet, refer to the Android or Apple iOS instructions.
  2. From the My Verizon home screen, navigate: Plan > My Plan & Service > Manage Verizon Smart Family.
  3. From the list of devices (at the top), ensure the appropriate mobile number is selected.
  4. From the left menu, click Location services to expand.
  5. Click Manage alerts.
  6. From the 'Scheduled alerts' tab, enter or configure the following info then tap Save:
    • Time
      Line note Tap the Dropdown to edit the time.
    • Days
      Line note Select (check) the desired days

Remove Scheduled Alerts

  1. From a web browser, sign in to My Verizon.
  2. From the My Verizon home screen, navigate: Plan > My Plan & Service > Manage Verizon Smart Family.
  3. Line note If using a smartphone or tablet, refer to the Android or Apple iOS instructions.
  4. From the list of devices (at the top), ensure the appropriate mobile number is selected.
  5. From the left menu, click Location services to expand.
  6. Click Manage alerts.
  7. From the 'Scheduled alerts' tab, click the Trashcan icon Trashcan icon to remove a saved schedule alert.
