Move Music Files to Device - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC.

caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:


  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If the device prompts for permission to transfer files, tap ALLOW.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.
      Note The image depicted below is just an example.

    2. Tap USB charging.
    3. Select File Transfer.
      Note Selected when a blue dot is present.
  3. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
  4. Using File or Windows Explorer, navigate: Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 > Tablet > Music.
    note Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is listed under the Portable Devices section.
  5. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the folder.
    note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files.
  6. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
