Samsung Galaxy Tab A (10.5) - Multi window

Note Notes:

  • Ensure Multi window is on.
  • The Multi window tab can be hidden/displayed by touching and holding the Recent apps icon Recent apps icon (left of the Home button) from any screen. Hiding the tab does not disable the Multi window app.

Launch Multiple Apps

  1. While using one app, swipe diagonally from a top corner of the screen to open that app in Multi window view.
  2. To open a second Multi window, tap an app then swipe diagonally from a top corner of the screen.

Adjust the Size of Apps in Multi window

  1. Touch and hold the upper-right, lower-right, or lower-left corner of the Multi window.
  2. Utilizing the blue outline, adjust to desired size.

Minimize a Multi window App

  1. Touch the top of the Multi window to minimize.
  2. Tap the Minimize icon Multi window Minimize icon (at the top of the window).
    Note Icon of minimized app appears on the Home screen; tap the icon to re-open app in Multi window view.

Make a Multi window App Full Screen

  1. Tap the top of the Multi window to be maximized.
  2. Tap the Maximize icon Multi window Maximize icon (at the top of the window).

Close a Multi window App

  1. Tap the Recent apps icon (to the left of the Home button).
  2. Tap the Close icon Multi-window Close icon (at the top of the window).

Reposition a Multi window

  1. Touch and hold the top of the window to be moved.
  2. Drag the the Multi window to a new location along another available screen edge.
