LG V40 ThinQ™ - Move Music Files to Device

Caution Only DRM free or unprotected music can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.

    2. Tap Charging.
    3. Select File transfer.
      Note Selected when a dot is present.
  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( Windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
  3. Using File or Windows Explorer, navigate to where the music is stored on the computer.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy music files from the music folder to the desired location in the memory of the phone.
    Note V40 ThinQ is listed under the Portable Devices section, navigate: V40 ThinQ > Internal shared storage > Music.
    Note If the music files are stored on the memory card, navigate: V40 ThinQ > SD card then choose the location of the files.
  5. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
