Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 8800L - Restore Settings to Factory Defaults

If your Jetpack powers off on its own, crashes and resets, freezes, won't charge or runs slow, view this info.

Warning Restore Settings to Factory Defaults only if absolutely necessary as it removes all modified settings including Network Name (SSID), Wi-Fi/Admin Password, etc.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Menu (lower-left).
    Note If necessary, press the Power button (top-right edge) to turn on the display.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Factory Reset.
  4. Tap Factory Reset again.
  5. To continue, review the disclaimer then tap Confirm.
    Note Allow several minutes for the reset process to complete.
    Note After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.
  6. If the steps above don't work, try one of the following:

 

Button Reset

You can also perform a factory reset by removing the battery cover then pressing the reset button (using a paperclip or similar tool) for 10 seconds or until 'MiFi resetting' appears on the display.
Note The Reset button is located down inside the hole marked RESET.

Admin Site Reset

  1. Access the Admin Web Interface.
  2. From the Jetpack tab, click Backup and Restore.
  3. From the Restore to Factory Defaults section, click Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. To continue, review the info then click Confirm.
    Note Allow several minutes for the restore process to complete.
    Note After restoring to factory defaults, ensure Power Management Settings are set to the preferred options.
