Samsung Chromebook Plus - Add a Virtual Private Network
A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).
From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings .
Next to Add connection, tap the Dropdown menu
Tap Add OpenVPN / L2TP.
If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
From the 'Server hostname' field, enter the appropriate name.
Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
From the 'Provider type' field, tap the Dropdown menu (on the right) then select the VPN type:
L2P2/IPSec + pre-shared key
L2P2/IPSec + user credentials
Enter the required info into the applicable fields then tap Connect (lower-right).
If applicable, tap (check) Save identity and password to turn on or off .
