Verizon GizmoTablet™ - Activate / Set Up Device

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.

Caution To avoid potential issues, review the following:

  1. If powered off, press and hold the Power button until the Samsung Galaxy screen appears then release.
  2. Select the appropriate language then tap the Start icon.

  3. To continue, review the 'Terms and Conditions' screen then tap AGREE.

  4. From the 'Tablet Activation' screen, tap NEXT.
    Note If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    Note If activating a new tablet on an existing phone number, ensure the old device is powered off.

  5. From the 'Set up Wi-Fi' screen, select a network then enter the password.
    Note If you choose 'SKIP', you can add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.

  6. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one.

  7. From the 'Protect your tablet' screen, select the preferred option.
    Note If you choose 'Not now', you can set up screen lock after setup is complete.

  8. From the 'Google services' screen, select any of the following to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap ACCEPT.

  9. From the 'Personalize your tablet' screen you can adjust display / battery settings or tap SKIP to continue.

  10. From the 'Welcome to gizmotablet' screen tap Get Started to create a parent and child profile.
    Note To navigate to the Home Screen, tap Exit Setup.
