Samsung Galaxy S10 - Add a Personal Email Account

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
    Note These instructions only apply to Standard mode and the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate: Settings Settings icon > Accounts and backup > Accounts.
  3. Tap Add account.
  4. Select the appropriate account type (e.g., Email, Personal IMAP, Personal POP3, etc.).
  5. If presented, select the account sub-type (e.g., Yahoo, AOL,,, etc.).
  6. Enter the email address then tap NEXT.
  7. Enter the password then tap NEXT.
  8. If presented, enter the appropriate info (e.g., Username, Password, Server, etc.) then tap NEXT.
    Note If not presented, skip to step 10.
    Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
  9. If presented, enter the appropriate info (e.g., SMTP server, Port, Server, etc.) then tap NEXT.
  10. To continue, review the requested permissions then tap Allow.
  11. If presented, configure account options (e.g., Sync frequency, Inbox download size, etc.) as desired then tap NEXT.
    Note Depending upon the email account type, the available options may vary
  12. If presented, enter an account name (optional) then tap NEXT.
    Note If presented, ensure a name is entered for outgoing messages.
