Samsung Galaxy S10 - Manage TTY Settings

Note TTY Settings allow Text Telephone devices (TTYs) to be enabled so that deaf and hearing-impaired customers can use the telephone by utilizing a visual rather than auditory mode of communication.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Phone icon Phone icon (lower-left).
    Note If not available, swipe up or down from the center of the display then tap Phone Phone icon.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (upper-right) then tap Settings.
  3. Tap Real Time Test.
  4. Tap the Always visible switch to turn on switch on or off Switch off.
  5. Tap Use external TTY Keyboard to turn on.
  6. Tap TTY mode
  7. Select one of the following:
    • TTY Off: Disables all TTY settings
    • TTY Full: Enables all TTY settings
    • TTY HCO: Enables HCO (Hearing Carry Over)
    • TTY VCO: Enables VCO (Voice Carry Over)
